Project overview
As part of Auckland Airport’s terminal development programme, GVC supported Hawkins with the demolition of the old Eastern Bag Hall and the delivery of new structured cabling and IT infrastructure for the replacement facility. The project was critical to expanding baggage processing capacity and preparing for future domestic terminal integration.
GVC’s involvement
- Planned and executed the relocation of AIAL’s primary fibre optic entry point, including over 50 cables and 400 active services
- Designed and installed diversified fibre pathways to reduce future risk during construction
- Delivered full structured cabling and IT deployment for the new facility
- Worked in a live operational environment, coordinating closely with Hawkins and other contractors to maintain site safety
